Set up a bank feed

Daily bank feeds, directly from your bank, help you to keep a complete and up-to-date view of your business. For NZ customers only.

What are bank feeds?

Bank feeds are a secure connection to your bank that allows transactions to arrive in your Farm Focus farm business automatically.

Currently, BNZ, ANZ, ASB, Rabobank and Westpac customers with Farm Focus can sign up for the complimentary bank feeds service.

NOTE: The BNZ connection is through a new process which requires a different set-up to the other banks. BNZ connection is active the same day you set it up, whereas other banks require a form to be authorised which can take 7-10 working days to activate feeds. View this help topic here to learn how to set up BNZ direct feeds.

Set up a bank feed

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on Bank accounts.

  3. Select an existing account or, if the bank account hasn't been set up yet, have a look at How to set up a bank account.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Download bank feed form button.  The form will be saved to your Downloads folder.

Once you have completed the form(s), scan and email it to bankfeeds@farmfocus.co.nz and our team will begin the authorisation process.

TIP: If you need to reprint the form, click on the option to Download the form again.

TIP: If you have recorded more than one bank account in your farm business, each account will require a separate bank feed authority form.

What happens next?

Bank transactions will start to automatically arrive in your farm business within 10 working days.

You can check the progress of your authorisation form by going to Settings - Bank accounts.

Inactive Bank Accounts

You will notice that all of your bank accounts that have ever had transactions completed through Rural will be pulled into Farm Focus. Some of these accounts are no longer active or relevant. You can select to make them inactive under the settings for Bank Account Details. The accounts will still show in your Needs Action screen but there is work underway to remove them from this screen going forward.
