Create a new contact

There are a variety of ways you can create a contact in Farm Focus

Option 1

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts

  2. Select Add new contact

  3. Enter the appropriate information into the modal

  4. Once you have created the contact, click Save

NOTE:

  • If you want to use the Bill Payment process you will need to enter the bank account details for any contacts you intend to pay.

  • If you want to automatically send a tax invoice to a supplier you will need to enter the supplier email address.

  • Address finder will help to populate the address fields. For tax invoices and credit notes, a contact’s postal address is essential.

Option 2

  1. In an Invoice or Bank Transaction

  2. Click into the header

  3. Select Other Party

  4. Select + Add new

  5. It will take you into the address modal, as above.

Edit a contact

There are a variety of ways you can edit a contact in Farm Focus.

Option 1

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Go to Contacts

  3. Select the three dots on the contact that you would like to edit, and click Edit contact

  4. Update the required information and select save.

Option 2

  1. In an Invoice or Bank Transaction

  2. Click into the header

  3. Select Other Party

  4. Select the pencil image

  5. It will take you into the address modal, as above.

Deactivate a contact

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts

  2. Select the contact you would like to deactivate

  3. Click on the Contact status “Active” toggle and the colour changes from green to grey.

Reactivate a contact

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts

  2. Click on the Show inactive toggle and the colour changes from grey to green. It will now display the deactivated contacts

  3. Select the contact you want to reactivate

  4. Click on the Contact status “Active” toggle and the colour changes from grey to green.

Delete a contact

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Go to Contacts

  3. Hover over the contact and click on the 3 vertical dots

  4. Select Delete contact.

If you have used a contact in an invoice, bank transaction, tax invoice or credit note you will not be able to delete the contact. However, you can deactivate the contact.

Search for a contact

If you have a long list of contacts and want to be able to search for a specific one you can use the search bar at the top right-hand corner of your screen.

You can type in any part of the Contact name or the Email address to narrow down your search.

Click to Show Inactive Contacts to include any inactive contacts in your search criteria.

Tip: You can also hover over the contact, select the 3 vertical dots and then select Edit, Reactivate or Delete a contact.
