Overview

This resource is aimed at rural professionals.

A Workspace brings together your team and the farms they work on. Workspaces empower rural professionals to better support and serve their Farm Focus customers with secure and trusted user management.

Benefits of Workspaces

  • Access control: The Workspace admin has the control to add and remove access to users within their organisation. Helping to make data and access more secure.

  • Improved security and privacy: With Workspaces you know exactly who is working on each farm.

  • Streamlines user permissions: Saves time by eliminating the need for farmers to individually grant control to users.

  • Central dashboard: Brings together your team and the farms they work on in one place.

  • Built for Professionals: Workspaces empower rural professionals to better support and serve their Farm Focus customers with secure and trusted user management.

How it works:

  1. Create a Workspace: The rural professional organisation creates a workspace in Farm Focus.

  2. Get Permission: The subscription owner (usually the farm owner) allows their farm to join the workspace.

    • Note: The subscription owner is the person who pays for the Farm Focus subscription.

  3. Manage Access: The rural professional organisation, specifically the workspace administrator, controls access to the farms in the workspace.

The two roles of workspace members:

Administrator (Admin): The person who created the workspace will automatically become an Admin. Every workspace must have at least one administrator. The role provides the user full access to all workspace functions. This role can add and remove farms and members from the workspaces

and control which team members get access to what farms and at what level.

Standard: A workspace can have as many standard members as it needs. Standard members can view all the farms that have joined the workspace but are only permitted to work on farms that they have been granted access to.

A standard member of a workspace can:

  • open and work in farms to which you have access

  • view all notifications relating to your farms

  • view your level of access to each farm

  • view all farms that are part of the workspace

  • view all pending farms

  • search for farms

  • view all members

  • view all pending members

  • search for members

All workspace members must have a Farm Focus login. Find out how to create your own login.
